Some 'Grey's' news, Wipeout , SYTYCD and More!

Well, a few weeks ago I blogged about news of Brian Austin Green in talks to join the cast of 'One Tree Hill'. Turns out that the talks fell through. A deal couldn't be reached and so Green will not be joining the cast. Robert Buckley (Lipstick Jungle) will be playing that character. Maybe I should start watching that show. They have yummy eye candy on it.

'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' is averaging about 4.17M viewers. I have been watching it and find it somewhat interesting, but it's just okay. That Dickenson chick is wacko! I like Lou Diamond Phillips and I kind of feel sorry for Patty and what she is going through with her husband and the politics of it all. She does seem like a nice person. I don't think it is going to come back next summer. What would be really really interesting is if they got huge stars to do that show. Like, let's get Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Mathew McConaughey.. stars like THAT on the show. It won't ever happen. Those stars have way too much respect and credibility in the business to tarnish themselves or their careers in such a manner. But we can dream.

'So You Think You Can Dance' continues to be a ratings gem this summer at 8.7M viewers. It actually took the #1 spot ahead of Wipeout at #2. SYTYCD makes me cry, especially when there is such a beautiful routinelike the very first hip hop number and that beautiful contemporary number to an old Richard Marx song. I believe Tony Bellissimo and his partner are in trouble of elimination. They were the only couple that I truly wasn't feeling last night. I also have to add, why must Mary Murphy scream so much? It's so grating. If the dancing weren't so good and so moving, I wouldn't watch simply because here screaming is getting extremely irritating. It bothered me last season and every year she seems to step it up a notch (unfortunately!). No worries though, I'm looking forward to next weeks routines. This year has a good crop of dancers that it's almost hard to tell who is going to go and who is going to stay!

'Wipeout' came in #2 last night. What a treat it was having 2 hours back to back. I have not yet watched the entire second hour , as it got really late and I needed to sleep (it was 2am when I finally pulled myself away ). I initially was going to save it to watch tonight but thought .. eh I'll watch just a little. Well, I just couldn't pull myself away. Once again I was laughing so hard I cried. I think it's a safe bet that 'Wipeout' will be back for a third season next year.

In case you haven't heard yet ABC announced the dates for premieres of it's new season. 'Grey's Anatomy' will start on 9/24,' Desperate Housewives' 9/27 followed by 'Brothers & Sisters' on 9/27. Mark you calendars!

A Few TV News Tidbits - Octo-Mom gets Reality TV Deal, Kung Fu Panda Series coming and more..

Hey everyone. There are a couple of tidbits of news out there that I thought I would share on my blog.

The first is about the Octo-mom from Southern California who gave birth to the world's longest surviving octuplets. She just signed a deal for a reality TV show with 3Ball. They are a subsidiary of an Amsterdam-based Eyeworks International. The company has yet to sell the series to an American TV station, but they are looking for a buyer. The show will allow Suleman to do some of the filming herself with her own camera and is apparently modeled after a TV series in Denmark that follows the lives of 4 children from the day they are born until they are adults.

I wonder what network here in the States would pick it up. I'm guessing it will be TLC. Would you watch? I don't know if I would. I haven't watched any of the other shows like Jack & Kate Plus 8 (I must say that I'm a little sorry that I haven't watched it, given all the buzz surrounding the couple lately. I may just start tuning in). I might watch out of curiosity. I'll admit that I've kind of judged this woman a little based on the situation alone and I think she is a nut job. I mean HOW... HOW do you go ahead as an unmarried and unemployed woman and get yourself artificially inseminated then give birth to not 1 but 8 kids!! And you already have 6 kids at home. I would personally like to sit down with her doctor and ask him what the hell was he thinking going ahead with doing the procedure and going through with the entire thing. It's a little outrageous to me. For that exact reason her reality show will most likely be a big hit. We'll all watch it out of curiosity.

For all my fellow mommies (okay and daddies too) that read my blog, Kung Fu Panda will be a series on Nickolodeon. They just ordered 26 episodes. Their other deal with Dreamworks Animation SKG "The Penguins of Madagascar" ranked as the number 1 series premiere in the networks history with 6.1M viewers! Wish I would have been paying more attention and I would have known about the Madagascar series. My son would love it, and I know he's going to absolutely love Kung Fu Panda. He watches the movie all the time and has his panda pajamas that he loves to wear. It will be on sometime in 2010.

Brian Austin Green (Original Beverly Hills 90210 and Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles) is in talks with the CW to join One Tree Hill as a regular. His role will be Clayton, a sports agent representing Nathan Scott's basketball interest. I never did watch One Tree Hill, although it did look like an interesting show. I already have such a full roster of shows there wasn't room for it in mine. I did want to share the news with anyone who is an OTH fan or a Brian Austin Green fan. I am from his 9210 days. I was happy to see him in Terminator... and sad to see it canceled., although he was killed off anyway in the second to last aired show.

Last but not least , although it's late, I hope you have your DVR set for I'm A Celebrity Get me Out of Here on right now. I'll be watching that later with the hubby. Be sure to check back to the blog tomorrow to hear what I thought of it, and what the Nielsen numbers say about the future of the show. Should be interesting.
