The TV Blog

I have a love for TV. I have ever since I was a kid. I remember being an avid fan of Little House on the Prarie and if I missed an episode there was hell to pay in my house. My love for TV grew with the introduction of the DVR. My dear husband purchased the first one for me, TIVO. That was before Cable companies started coming out with their own DVR Boxes. Soon, we had two Tivo's in our house. I now have two HD DVR boxes. Each box can record 2 channels at one time. There are nights when I have all four channels of my DVR going!
You may wonder.. am I a couch potato? How do I find so much time to watch so much television? Well.. the TV is always going in my house and I'm the queen of multi tasking. The secret to my TV watching is that , while I work from home, I put the less thought provoking TV shows on (think Soaps and Reality Shows) that I listen to in the background while I work. I also watch most of my TV when my 3 year old son is tucked safely in bed by 9:30pm. That's when I rip out the juicier shows like Grey's Anatomy and the new one Southland.
I am an active person. I work out at least 3 days a week at the gym for at least an hour each time. I also manage to take my son to the park almost every day for a few hours. The point is, TV can be something that you watch, but that doesn't watch you. If you know what I mean. I am a confessed TV DVR addict. I've even turned my husband on to a few TV shows that he likes to watch with me and we watch together. Although a lot of the shows he ends up liking end up getting cancelled (like Life on Mars).
I decided to turn my love for the Internet and being on it and my love for TV into this blog. Maybe it will make me some money. Why not.? I'm an entrepreneur and anything I can do that is creative that will allow me to make some dough, I'm all for it.
So.. I hope that you find my blog fun, enjoyable and that you participate with your comments. Share with me your favorite shows, what shows you think will rise and which will sink.
Welcome to Confessions of a TV DVR Addict.
